Microsoft confirms that a new build is coming this month

Microsoft promised to bring a new Windows 10 Technical Preview build for PCs to users sometime this month, but the company has until now remained tight-lipped on any details as to when exactly this is expected to happen.

In a post earlier today, Gabriel Aul, who's in charge of the insider programs at Microsoft, revealed that the next Windows 10 Technical Preview for PCs would arrive in the last week of February, while new patched could be shipped in the next 7 days.

The reason is as simple as it could be: Microsoft has just launched Windows 10 for phones preview, so the company is willing to give it some time on the market, as the PC version could steal its karma and the phone version could thus lose the attention it deserves.

Both Windows 10 flavors are currently under development and the preview builds that can be downloaded by users are supposed to help the company collect feedback and improve certain features and options, so Microsoft wants to give each a chance to be tested thoroughly.

New ISOs also coming

The next Windows 10 Technical Preview build for PCs will also come with fresh ISOs for users who want to do a clean install or update their systems without the built-in feature created in this regard.

ISOs would also help those who are new to the program to skip directly to the new version, without the pain of getting through each update, so there's no doubt that Microsoft is making the right decision by rolling out new ISOs for this fresh release.

As far as features that could be part of this version are concerned, details have not yet been provided, but leaked screenshots of Windows 10 build 10009 have revealed new icons and several interface tweaks, which could be proof that Redmond is much more focused on improving the UI these days.
