Respawn Entertainment released a massive update for Titanfall this week and it's already offered some details about the next big patch for the popular first-person shooter, confirming some of the changes that are already scheduled to appear in it.

Titanfall launched onto the PC and Xbox One platforms at the beginning of March, delivering a stunning multiplayer-only first-person shooter that featured two distinct portions. In one, you were able to guide a highly maneuverable and acrobatic pilot, while in the other you could control a hulking Titan and roam around the battlefield.

Couple this with the intense multiplayer action and the great variety in terms of maps, and Titanfall impressed plenty of people.

In order to keep things interesting, the studio made sure to keep the experience as balanced and as fun as possible. This meant improving the matchmaking system to create better and more equal online matches, as well as punishing cheaters who attempted to disrupt the experience.

Now, after a major patch that introduced highly requested features like the ability to create private matches, Respawn has confirmed on its website what new things await players in the new Titanfall update.

First up, more slots for custom loadouts will be added and players will finally be able to rename them so that they can figure out which is which during the heat of battle.

Better customization options for the Private Match feature will be added and the Last Game Summary screen will be able to show the scoreboard from the previous match.

On PC, users with 120Hz monitors will see that Titanfall handles and moves much smoother, as better support for such displays is included in the new patch.

Players who use burn cards to obtain amped weapons and are killed will see that their gun now appears in a different color on the ground, so that it can be easily seen by allies or enemies and picked up to keep that extra damage boost going.

Players will better interact with Challenges, as they'll be able to see which ones were complete or the most progressed in the previous match, as well as group them by the almost completed criteria.

Last but not least, the scoreboard icons will reflect three new states, in which the player was evacuated, the player was dead while his Auto-Titan was still alive, and the player was alive alongside his Auto-Titan.

As of yet, it's unclear when the new patch will debut for Titanfall, so expect it in the following months.
