The next Mass Effect game from developer BioWare has already entered the motion capture stage, at least according to the studio's Ken Thain, the cinematic director in charge of BioWare's RPGs.

BioWare is currently working hard on multiple big projects, including this year's Dragon Age: Inquisition, but also a new Mass Effect title and an all-new property.

After a few more teaser statements and details last year, BioWare's Ken Thain has now confirmed that the next Mass Effect game has entered the motion capture stage.

He revealed on Twitter that the BioWare team was getting set up in EA's "world class mocap facility" in Vancouver and has already begun the process of recording motions for the game.

It's unclear if the new Mass Effect will first record the motions and then the voice or if it will do them at the same time, in the vein of the Uncharted series, for example.
