While BioWare is working hard on the first single-player downloadable add-on for Mass Effect 3, a new report has appeared concerning the second multiplayer-oriented DLC for the game, called Rebellion, which brings new maps, characters, weapons, and more.

Mass Effect 3 delivered an intense experience, both during its single-player campaign and during the multiplayer one.

We’ve already seen the Resurgence DLC for the online mode in the game appear last month, while the Extended Cut expansion for the single-player one is getting ready for release in summer.

According to FTG, however, a new add-on for the multiplayer mode will be released soon enough, in the form of the Rebellion DLC pack.

The add-on will bring new maps, characters, weapons, and consumables to the multiplayer mode in Mass Effect 3, just like the Resurgence pack from last month.

Included in the DLC are some all-new classes, in the form of the Vorcha Soldier and the Vorcha Sentinel, as well as some new characters called the Phoenix Adept and Phoenix Vanguard. While not mentioned in the report, it’s also quite possible to see a Turian Engineer and a Turian Infiltrator be included in the add-on.

In terms of the new maps, they’re called Firebase Jade and Firebase Goddess. The first takes place in a jungle reservoir, while the second, as you can tell by its name, is set in Thessia, the Asari homeworld.

New weapons and consumables are also packed into Rebellion, but there’s no word what they might actually be.

Bear in mind that this is just a rumor, as of yet, but don’t forget that even the Resurgence pack was leaked before its appearance, so it could come true.

Vorcha characters would make some intriguing additions to the array of other alien races included in Mass Effect 3’s online mode, but it’s unclear just who or what these Phoenix characters might be.

Expect to hear something official about the next Mass Effect 3 multiplayer DLC in the near future.
