14 DAY TRIAL // Sam Mendes is out of the James Bond film franchise but the next movie is still on schedule. MGM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gary Barber have confirmed that a new installment will most likely come out in three years’ time.
“We are very excited about the franchise, we look forward to announcing a director soon,” Barber said during a recent conference call with investors, as cited by MSN India.
“We are currently developing the screenplay and working with our partners. We look forward to developing the script soon and signing a director. We are hoping within the next 3 years it will be released,” he added.
As I also informed you some time ago, Mendes opted out of another installment after “Skyfall” because of scheduling issues.
Daniel Craig, the leading man, is bound by contract for yet a few more movies – five, if we’re to believe reports online.
