Developer Cryptic Studios has announced that, in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, it will give away a Worf-based bonus for all those who are playing Star Trek Online.
Until 10 AM Pacific Daylight Time on July 24, all gamers can access a special mission via their own character journals, which will allow them to go to the holodeck and meet Worf, the Klingonian who served as Security Officer in the series and then also made appearances in Deep Space Nine.
Those who complete the mission will get access to the uniform that was worn during the first season of The Next Generation, the Worf baldric from the same season and his hair and goatee.
The last rewards cannot be used by any female characters.
Star Trek Online was launched with great fanfare but failed to capitalize on the popularity of the movies and television series and has found success only after moving to the free-to-play space.
