We have seen the purported Nexus 10 (specifications included) leak online a few times in the last few weeks, but no official announcement came out of Google to confirm or infirm the arrival on the large slate.

The Nexus 10 went out of stock in the Google Play store back in October, which prompted a lot of people to say that the slate was on its way. It was previously believed that the Nexus slate will arrive on November 21, but nothing happened on the date.

Now Android watchers have started considering another possibility. Apparently, they have reason to believe that Google is planning to bring out the new Nexus 10 during Cyber Monday, says Ibtimes.

According to them, Google has been skittish of pulling the veil off the new offering during Black Friday / Thanksgiving for fearing of facing difficulties in production and meeting consumer demand. Now it seems, the search giant is waiting for things to calm down before launching its latest spawn into the world.

Android watchers also note that Google is assured that when it’s ready to ship, the new Nexus 10 will arrive in US, Canada, select European countries, Asia and Japan, first.

According to previous rumors, the next-gen Nexus 10 should come sporting a WQXGA IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. On the inside, we’re going to see a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU.

Reportedly, the slate will pack two cameras (10MP rear one and 4MP front snapper), 16 GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and microUSB. It is believed that the new Android KitKat 4.4 is going to be the default operating system on board. More importantly, the new 10-incher is supposed to provide a massive battery life of 18 hours.

Whether the Nexus 10 is indeed unveiled today remains to be seen, but it will be interesting to finally learn which company Google has partnered up with, in order to bring the device to the masses. Will it be long-time friend ASUS?
