The technical specifications pertaining to Apple’s next-generation MacBook Air computers have been leaked online.

In accordance with the latest rumors, the refreshed ultra-thin laptops will boast no design changes whatsoever, but rather a boost in processor speed (and architecture), more RAM, more solid state storage, and Thunderbolt connectors.

A person referred to as Mr. X, who has been responsible for accurately leaking Apple product specifications to 9to5mac in the past, has recently obtained the tech specs for Apple’s new MacBook Air line.

For the 11.6 inch models, there will be three configurations available, one of which is the build-to-order option.

The base model will boast a 1.6 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 64GB of flash storage.

The middle-range MBA features the same 1.6 GHz processor but twice the amount of memory - 4GB of RAM, and double the solid-state (NAND Flash) storage space - 128 GB.

A built to order model will also be available with options including a 1.8 GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, and 256 GB of flash storage.

On the 13-inch front, the standard configuration will include a 1.7 GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage.

Just like with the 11-inch model, the middle-range 13-incher keeps the 1.7GHz Sandy Bridge CPU and doubles the RAM and storage.

The build-to-order option allows customers to opt for a 1.8 GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage.

Apple will most likely take down its online store today to make the preparations for selling the hot new notebooks with OS X Lion pre-installed.

Lion will also be made available today via the Mac App Store as a $30 upgrade from Snow Leopard.

It is believed that new Mac minis and Mac Pro computers may arrive in tandem with the MacBook Air refresh, though such rumors are yet to be confirmed.
