Battlefield Hardline developer Visceral Games confirms that, for the next series of improvements for the popular shooter, it's looking at quite a few areas, including faster tick rate servers, sensitivity sliders for universal soldier aiming and ADS, not to mention many other fixes.

Battlefield Hardline launched in March, and since then, developer Visceral has released just one major update designed to solve some of the most pressing issues of the first-person shooter, while setting the groundwork for future improvements.

Plenty of enhancements are coming to Hardline with the next update

While the studio's still busy with the next major update for Hardline, it's shared some major improvements that are included within it on the official forums, so that fans can get excited about all of them.

First up, faster tick rate servers are incoming, as Visceral's engineers have made some changes that were already tested in the Community Environment of Battlefield 4. They'll soon appear in the test area for Hardline, and once everything checks out, they'll be introduced for all players of the new game. These faster servers should also benefit those reporting latency and connection problems.

With the next update, Hardline owners should also notice sensitivity sliders for universal soldier aiming and ADS, so that they can be tweaked just how they like them.

The deployable camera has also seen plenty of improvements, while the Ballistic Shield coins are getting tweaked to ensure that players don't have to spend a huge amount of time grinding out their rewards.

Last but not least, the Rep system is also getting an overhaul in order to reduce tier costs and make the different trees more interesting. There's also the new option to pre-select your Rep perks so that you automatically get them once you earn the necessary amount.

Visceral also mentions that it's making good progress on Hardline's first expansion, Criminal Activity, but more details are going to be included in the formal announcement this summer.

You can check out some of the studio's big goals with the next Battlefield Hardline patch below. Unfortunately, it's declined to offer any release date for the update.
