The newest project in development at Rocksteady Studios, the company behind the highly successful Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City games, is yet another Batman title, only this one will be set during the Silver Age of DC Comics and acts as a prequel, according to a new report.

Batman games in the past haven’t exactly shined, but everything changed when Rocksteady’s first project, Arkham Asylum, was released, showing that a great comic book-based interactive experience is possible.

After Arkham City was released last year into critical and sales acclaim, it seems that Rocksteady is working on yet another Batman game, according to Variety.

The magazine claims that the title will be a prequel and that it is based on the Silver Age version of Batman from the 1950s, starring a simpler version of the superhero.

What’s more, it seems other DC heroes, like Superman, might also appear but, as of yet, neither Rocksteady nor Warner Bros. have commented on the report.
