The next flavor of Google's mobile operating system, dubbed Android 3.0 Honeycomb, is expected to bring a nice range of enhancements into the mix, including an UI overhaul, which was hinted at in the latest leak available around the Internet, namely the next Android Music application.

Those of you who like staying on top of what's new in the Android world would certainly remember that Google showcased at Google I/O this year some of the goodies that would be on their way to the platform beyond the Android 2.2 Froyo platform iteration (which was made official at that time).

Among the things that were demoed at Google I/O we can count a new music player, one that would enable users to have the web-purchased music being pushed on their devices, or to search through the music library on the desktop PC as if on the handset.

With Gingerbread already here, and with the music app being a no show, one can only conclude that Google meant for that enhancement to be included in the next version of the platform, namely Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

The music application has just leaked into the wild, and, even if it packs a lot of bugs, it offers us the possibility to have a new look at what Android 3.0 might be all about in terms of graphical appearance.

The video embedded below (via this thread on xda-developers forums) would show more on this.

The aforementioned wireless syncing feature was not included in the software solution at the moment, though this makes sense, considering the fact that the app is currently only in a beta flavor, and not a final version.

According to the guys over at Android Police, who downloaded, installed the application, and took it for a spin, it resembles a lot with the Gallery app that the latest flavors of Android include.

The app sports a menu button on the top right, which is present on all applications in Honeycomb, it seems, a recent article on Engadget reads.

Take a look at the video to see what the upcoming application would be all about, or head over to the said thread on xda-developers forums to download and install it on your Android phone.
