Intel's NUC (next unit of computing) continues to sell and make the news, despite not being all that amazing as far as mini PCs go.

Then again, the company has been improving the system, and with its marketing prowess, it's not a shock to see OEMs making cases for it.

In fact, Akasa has just released one such case, called Newton V.

Measuring 150 x 150 x 47 mm / 5.90 x 5.90 x 1.85 inches, it is designed for the Intel D53427RKE motherboard and the 17W Core i5-3240U dual-core CPU installed on it.

VESA wall-mount holes ensure it can be placed out of the way. And there are two holes for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth antennae too, along with three front-panel USB ports (one USB 3.0, two USB 2.0).

Furthermore, the Akasa Newton V possesses a Kensington lock slot and a passive cooling array. The case doubles as a heatsink really.

Akasa Newton V weighs 950 grams / 2.09 pounds, but hasn't been priced yet, sadly.
