For all of you who have been dying to get your hands on Nokia Tube all this time, the waiting is nearly over. According to Reuters, October 2 is the date when Nokia will launch its highly expected Nokia XpressMusic 5800, also known as Nokia Tube.

The much anticipated and long overdue S60 touchscreen device will be officially launched at a media and analyst event held in London. This week's event is expected to be really important, since it will celebrate Nokia's Comes With Music project, and will mark the release of a number of new handsets.

The only thing to do now could be to wait for an invitation so that we'd be able to come up with answers to all the questions you have about this phone. Or to simply await for official word from Nokia.

In the meanwhile, until additional information on this full touchscreen device is made public, let's review the things we already know about it. It seems that the UI will have many features also found on the iPhone, like the re-orientating screen that goes from portrait to landscape mode, depending on how the phone is held by the user.

Anyway, one can’t help but wonder why Nokia has prolonged the waiting that much, especially since several devices that feature a full touchscreen have already been released, like the Blackberry Storm. More than that, a strong competitor also came with the highly expected release of the G1 phone. As stated already, in our previous article about this smarthpone, the question that is on our mind is whether Nokia will still be able to find an open market for its new device.

We're hoping that, soon, we’ll be able to provide you with the specs for this phone, the moment we get our hands them. When that happens, we'll also see if this handheld is indeed something to make everybody go “wow”, and whether it has the potential of turning into yet another Nokia success.
