Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle website called Goop was painted into a not so pretty corner from the moment it came online. Mainly, people had issues with the stuff that was being recommended on the site, which only seemed accessible to Hollywood A-listers.

Which is why not many people ventured to click frequently on the website when the actress gushed about many things such as macrobiotic recipes and crazy interior designs as well as Christmas presents that were worth more than your car and home put together.

A testament to the fact that the site didn't get that many visitors on a regular basis was the fact that the Goop promptly crashed when Paltrow used it as a means of sharing the news of her split from Coldplay front man Chris Martin.

Heat reports that the “Consciously Uncoupling” article sent the Goop servers into overdrive and then into an inevitable crash and several major news outlets redirected their joined traffic to Gwyn's page.

That's why most of the people trying to read first hand her account on the breakup were met with a nasty error message. The outcome is frustration for the readers and embarrassment for the actress.

The short post that was titled “Consciously Uncoupling” revealed that Gwyn and Chris had been at odds over their relationship for some time and they made some efforts to bring it back on track, but they simply couldn't revive it.

“We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate,” explained the actress.

It went on to describe how they would remain friends who loved and respected each other and how, most of all, they were going to continue their roles as parents to their two children, who are still both very young.

In the ending, the article signed by both of them asked people to be discrete and afford them the privacy they need to go through these trying moments. “We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”

After this mishap, let's hope that Paltrow will invest some money in better servers that can handle larger traffic and less on ingredients for organic tofu burgers.
