A new monitor is now up for sale in the United States, one that BenQ created and equipped with a certain proprietary technology called RevolutionEyes.

You see, now that image quality and energy efficiency are at an all-time high, there isn't much left to make a display stand out, other than eye-friendliness.

That's why most of the monitors and TVs that came out during the past two months have been falling over each other to provide better zero-flicker and low blue light technology. They are assets that reduce eye fatigue, you see.

BenQ has grouped its implementation of those assets into the RevolutionEyes technology. It includes ZeroFlicker and the Senseye technology, which detects human presence and reduces Blue Light intensity by up to 70% when the display is in a mode optimized for multimedia, Web surfing, office, and onscreen reading.

The new monitor, called BenQ GW2765HT by the way, also boasts 3,000:1 contrast ratio, 4ms response time, a pair of 1-watt built-in speakers, HDMI, D-Sub, DVI, and DisplayPorts. All for the price of $549 / €549.

In addition to the 27-inch GW2765HT with 2560x1440 resolution, BenQ has also released the GW2265HM, a 21.5-inch LCD with a price of $189 / €189 and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
