NewSoft Launches PageManager for iPad, a Document Tool

Productivity apps developer, NewSoft, has announced a document management solution iPad users called PageManager. It allows users to read, organize, share and manage documents directly from their Apple tablet.

The user interface is described by the developers as being extremely intuitive, and able to provide multiple and resizable documents in thumb-nail display, which enables users to spot them fast.

Using the app, you can browse multi-page PDFs and TIFF documents in thumbnail view mode, and you can re-arrange pages in page view mode with the navigation window.

Users can drag-and-drop a photo or PDF to another and instantly create a new PDF.

Another noteworthy feature is the Document Pallet, which allows files to be combined and reorganized from different folders and then redistributed for emailing, cloud storage, or plain viewing.

The developers designed PageManager to allows files to be uploaded or downloaded via a web browser.

The app also supports direct connections to GoogleDoc, Dropbox, EverNote and MobileMe, as well as many other popular cloud connections. Future iCloud support has not been confirmed.

“Presto! PageManager for iPad extends the award-winning PageManager for Mac and Windows to the iPad,” says Johnson Yang, general manager of NewSoft America.

“With features such as an intuitive interface, enhanced thumbnail viewing, and a Document Pallet for file transfer to a PC or direct cloud connections, PageManager for iPad brings significant new document management capabilities to the market,” added Yang.

NewSoft’s PageManager for iPad can be downloaded immediately from the iTunes App Store for $3.99 / 2,99 €.

The app is compatible with iPad and requires iOS 4.2 or later, according to the developer.
