14 DAY TRIAL // Redmond-based software giant Microsoft announced roughly two months ago the launch of the first mobile phones powered by the latest flavor of its operating system, Windows Mobile 6.5, as well as new services for these handsets, such as the Windows Marketplace for Mobile. During these months, we've seen a wide range of applications added to the software portal, as well as new devices that came to the market running under the company's platform.
As many of you might already know, Microsoft also put in place a website where users can get info on the latest handsets that are available for them, as well as on the new software solutions that have been developed for their devices. The Marketplace added new applications as well, and most of you might already know that you can purchase software solutions directly from your home computer, as well as for handsets running under the 6.0 and 6.1 flavors of the Windows Mobile platform. We've already seen a new Bing Mobile solution released for Windows phones, as well as a Microsoft My Phone app, but there's even more of them available via the software portal.
