Fresh Hong Kong leak seems to back most iPhone 5 rumors

New, purported iPhone 5 cases manufactured in China have been leaked on the web. Those who’ve obtained them have been eager to see how they'd fit against current-generation iPhones and iPod touches.

And the result was they didn't. Not one bit. But that’s good news for avid Apple fans who are not expecting a crummy iPhone 4S to be announced this fall, but rather an all-new iPhone 5 with a bigger screen, a tapered medal back shell, and an overall upgraded design.

And that’s exactly what these leaked cases from Hong Kong appear to indicate.

Italian site Macitynet has tried to fit both an iPhone 4 and an iPod touch inside the accessory and found that they’re not exactly what you would call a match made in heaven.

Where the iPhone 4 looks like a fish out of the water sitting in those ridiculously fluorescent cases, the iPod touch seems more at home in the silicone iAccessories, albeit a home too big for the iPod touch to be able to pay the rent.

Whether or not these colorful cases speak the truth, there is still a lot of chatter about Apple introducing not one, but two new iPhone models this year.

According to most rumors, both the iPhone 5 and the media-dubbed ‘iPhone 4S’ would be equipped with the A5 SoC (system on a chip) dual core processor.

It's designed by Apple and assembled by Samsung, and you can find it in every iPad 2 at the moment.

The iPhone 5 and the 4S are both also rumored to have better cameras, but the latter is the one whose screen will not increase in size, according to most speculators.

The 4S is also not going to be a big departure from the iPhone 4 in terms of design, analysts say.

All in all, we’re still too crowded by unfounded claims about what Apple’s next iPhone(s) will be like.

So, as always, we’re back from square one. Makes you wonder why we even bother covering these leaks anymore.
