Firm tries to sell alleged jailbreak solutions for Apple’s latest iPhone and firmware

Yet another iOS 5 jailbreak & unlock is being advertised, this time by a site called unlockiPhone hosted at ghostapp.org. Much like several other firms attempting to capitalize on the iOS 5 hype, these guys claim to be able to provide all the jailbreaks and unlocks you could possibly desire, in exchange for some cash.

To make one thing clear from the get go, the world’s most reliable jailbreak and unlock solutions come from people who never charge for their offerings.

The likes of iPhone Dev Team, Chronic Dev, Geohot (who is no longer ‘in business), and other hackers dedicated to unshackling iOS, all distribute their jailbreaks free of charge.

So don’t be duped when you see a sign reading “Unlock any IPhone 3G, 3GS, iPhone 4, 4S in under 5 mins for only $24,99”. Chances are they’re offering a repackaged (outdated) version of the tools developed by the aforementioned bunch. History has shown it’s either that, or worse.
