Half a year into upgrading and completely redesigning its iMac lineup, Apple is expected to upgrade the all-in-one computer yet again, this time with Intel’s Haswell platform. In what sounds like an unlikely scenario for WWDC 2013, analyst Ming Chi-Kuo with KGI Securities reports in a research note, “Apple is expected to upgrade iMac processor to Intel’s (US) latest Haswell processor in June or July.”
If that’s true, today’s developer-centric event should yield this announcement, alongside iOS 7, the next-generation OS X, and iRadio. Apple is also said to be upgrading its MacBook lines (Air and Pro) at WWDC 2013.
If we’re to take all the analysts’ research notes into account, Apple today is expected to launch iOS 7, OS X 10.9, new MacBooks, new iMacs, a new Mac Pro, a new iPhone, and a new iPad.
Apple fans will remember that CEO Tim Cook said to look out for this year’s exciting announcements in fall, and the rest of the world should follow suit.
