14 DAY TRIAL // While most accessories for Apple's iPad tablet released on the market lately are designed to protect the device from shocks and bumps, or equip it with a Bluetooth Keyboard, things are a bit different in the case of the new iGo iPad Wall and Car chargers, that have been created in order to provide a convenient charging option for both the iPad and other devices. With the included certified charge/sync cable, both iGo iPad chargers feature a 2.1A output to quickly charge all iPads, iPhones and most iPods.
Adding charging flexibility, the USB port featured on the iGo iPad wall and car chargers works with either the included sync cable or any other USB cable to charge other mobile electronic devices, such as mobile phones, MP3 players, portable game consoles and more.
The iGo iPad Wall Charger measures 2.45 x 1.85 x 2.4 in (62.23 x 46.99 x 60.96 mm) and weighs 1.47 oz (41.73 grams), while supporting an input current of 100-240 VAC; 50/60 Hz and an output power of 5V,2.1A (10.5 W).
The Go iPad Car Charger, on the other hand, has roughly the same size, while also coming with a 1.22-meter (4-foot) USB cable, similar to the one accompanying the wall version we've talked about earlier.
“As iPad users browse the web, send email and enjoy photos, videos, games and e-books, we wanted to provide a family of chargers that match the iPad’s flexibility,” said Walter Thornton, vice president of product management and supply chain of iGo.
“The compact iGo iPad wall charger and ultra-small car charger are the perfect charging solutions to keep iPad users powered wherever they go,” added Mr. Thornton.
The MSRP for each of these new products has been set at around $24.99, which makes them some pretty affordable accessories, all things considered.
