Apple has turned on the iCloud Drive to be accessible online

If you have downloaded and installed the iOS 8 Beta or the GM version, you probably have seen that it brings iCloud Drive. The new option needs to be activated on the iOS device and only then accessed on a computer or in the browser.

The reason for that is that the Mac didn't get OS X Yosemite yet, but on the phone you can have iOS 8 GM. In order to activate the new option and upgrade to iCloud Drive, just open the Settings.app on the iPhone, go to iCloud and set the iCloud Drive to ON. The upgrade process usually takes a few minutes, because Apple's servers are filled with similar requests.

As of today, there is a way to access iCloud Drive on your computer, in the browser. Just go to beta.icloud.com and sign in with your iCloud credentials. As soon as you login, you will be presented with the regular iCloud apps and two new ones: iCloud Drive and Settings.

The iCloud Drive web app is basically just a page that shows files and folder. You can upload or download them or organize the files. The interface is pretty basic and you can only control the file selection via the keyboard, for now.

The Settings.app lets you visualize all the devices that are connected to your account and are running iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite. You can also view the other info for those devices like the serial number and IMEI (for the iPhone).

iCloud can now be set to display info in over 20 different languages besides English.
