Authorities from New Zealand made public the photo of a man, captured on CCTV, which they believe is connected to the criminal collective that’s been fitting credit card skimming devices on ATMs.

According to NZ Herald, police hope that someone may recognize the man and offer them a clue regarding his identity.

The image was captured near some of the altered ATMs in Auckland and shows a man wearing a bicycle helmet with a rucksack on his back.

Individuals who recognize the man should contact Detective Senior Sergeant Russ Bagley of the District Financial Crime Unit at the 09 302 6972 phone number. Those who want to provide information anonymously can call Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

Until now, the crooks compromised at least 4 machines, stealing the credit card details and the PINs of more than 500 individuals. Investigators believe that the damages rise up to almost $1 million (750,000 EUR).
