Sony Ericsson's most advanced mobile device to date, the Xperia X1, has appeared in a new and official video presentation, which offers us a general view on what the handset will be able to do, once released.

One of the coolest things about Xperia X1 is the fact that it will come with the so-called Xperia panels. These will run the Windows Mobile 6.1 show, allowing users to personalize the handset and transform it to better suit their needs – in terms of interface, of course. The panels seem to be easily handled through the touchscreen display, so the X1 should offer a nice and unique mobile experience.

Speaking of the display, it is (in case you don't know yet) a 3-inch one that sports a huge 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Thus, the X1 outruns every other handset on the market when it comes to the amount of info visible on the screen.

Besides the incredible display, the X1 also brings a classy arc-slider design, a full QWERTY keyboard, internal GPS, Google Maps, Wi-Fi, document viewer and editor, push email, a 3.2 camera with touch focus and flash, Music and Video players, a 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, 400 MB of internal memory (expandable via microSD cards, not M2 ones), 256MB of RAM, a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7200 processor, quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA connectivity.

Sony Ericsson hasn’t announced yet the retail price of Xperia X1, but rumors say it will be somewhere between 700 and 800 USD (500 – 560 Euros). Such a price tag surely makes the X1 unreachable for lots of users, but it's nevertheless on par with the prices of similarly featured handsets that are currently on the market.

Until the X1 hits the stores, though, here you have its new video presentation, in which the smartphone is touted as the "perfect tool for work and play":
