There is a new SSD-/HDD-Dock in town, one that Xilence made for anyone who has a free 5.25-inch drive bay in their desktop cases.

The new product will allow people to make use of spare SATA storage drives, provided said drives are of the 2.5-inch form factor.

Maybe you had a laptop that broke down and still have the HDD or SSD for example.

Anyway, the new accessory from Xilence can hold two 2.5-inch drives, complete with hot-swap support. There are two USB ports on the front too, and a 19-pin USB 3.0 connector meant to hook up to the motherboard.

Basically, Xilence has made an HDD/SSD dock that also doubles as a second I/O panel.

The Xilence SSD/HDD is made of SECC steel with ABS synthetic front and has a price of €27.90 / $38.
