When exiting a game and returning to the home screen, the video signal cuts off

The latest system software update for the Xbox One causes a brand new error, according to quite a few owners, as going back to the home screen when in-game causes the video signal to cut off, displaying a black screen.

The Xbox One received a major new dashboard update over the weekend, which brought important new fixes to the Microsoft console, as well as hidden improvements to the hardware upscaler to reduce sharpening on low-res games.

Now, however, quite a few Reddit users have started complaining of a loss of video signal when exiting a game and returning to the home screen.

At that point, the video signal cuts off and only a black screen is shown. Audio is still received and played by the TV, but nothing happens on the screen.

The error is eliminated when rebooting the console, but it's still quite annoying.

As of yet, Microsoft hasn't commented on the new issue.
