Microsoft may have just released a brand new system software update for the Xbox One worldwide last week, but now it's rolled out another firmware update, this time in the form of a beta one available only for Xbox Live Preview participants.

The Xbox One came out almost one year ago, and since then, Microsoft has been working very hard on not only making the console more attractive but also constantly updating its system software with new features, better services, and much more.

Last week the company launched a fresh system software update for the Xbox One, in the form of the September one, which brought forth plenty of improvements and new features for owners of the console to try out.

This doesn't meant that Microsoft is going to take a rest until next month, however, as the company has confirmed on its official website that a new Xbox One firmware beta update is available for download to those who are participating in the Xbox Live Preview program.

The beta firmware, according to the company, via DualShockers, is set to fix some of the issues reported by Xbox One owners with the Live TV service or the Metro Redux games.

"While the September update has been released to the general public, we’ve heard from some of you that you are still encountering a few issues. After investigating these reports, we’ve developed some fixes that we’d like to have you try out and give us your feedback on. These fixes are for Live TV video stuttering, as well as a fix for users encountering issues with disc-based installations of Metro Redux," Microsoft said.

In order to track down just what's causing the bugs, a special quest is given to beta testers after installing the firmware update.

"We will have a new Quest available for everyone in Preview titled 'TV Video Quality,' so please take a moment to complete it as soon as you’ve updated to the latest version! Data from this Quest will help us confirm this fix works as expected for everyone, and we’ll also monitor the Preview forums and Feedback app reports. After analyzing your feedback, we’ll release an update for 1409 to the public."

The brand new Xbox One beta firmware update is already available for download, provided you are participating in the preview program for the new system software patches. After the testing concludes, expect to see the small update appear for all Xbox One consoles later this month.
