There are not too many handsets available on the market at the moment with Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system on board, yet it seems that more of them are set to become available in the near future, device stats from a Windows Phone application shows.

Two leading mobile phone makers seem set to bring to the market a new range of handsets running under the mobile platform, namely HTC and Samsung.

The name of these yet-unannounced smartphones emerged into the wild courtesy of the 'I'm a WP7' application, which is already available for download via the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Other handsets have been already spotted on the list that Scott Peterson, the application's developer, has released several weeks ago, including the already made official HTC Radar and TITAN.

The already spotted Nokia 703 and Nokia 800 are on the new list that emerged at WPCentral, along with three devices that were not present there before, namely the HTC Ultimate, the HTC Radar 4G, and the Samsung Haden.

The HTC Radar 4G was leaked only a few days ago, said to be on its way to arrive on shelves in the United States on the airwaves of T-Mobile, with support for the carrier's HSPA+ network.

This would be the one of the first Windows Phone smartphones to arrive on shelves in the United States with this feature on board, another one being the Samsung Focus S that went official at AT&T recently.

The HTC Ultimate, however, is a completely new smartphone, and no specific details on it are available for the time being. It might end up proving to be a phone similar with the HTC TITAN, and even a specific flavor of this device.

As for the Samsung Haden, chances are that it might be a Windows Phone slider, somehow similar with the Samsung l870 'Hayden', though this is a rough supposition for the time being.

These and some other Windows Phone Mango devices are expected to become official in the near future, from these handset vendors and from other Microsoft partners as well, so stay tuned to learn the news.

Apparently, unlike last year when all the handsets that were to carry the Windows Phone OS to shelves and then to users hands were unveiled at the same time, Microsoft went a different route with Mango, spreading the official announcements over a longer period of time, so as to create hype around the platform.
