Microsoft was rumored a few times before to be already working on an update for the Windows Phone 8.1 platform, even if the OS is not available for download in a final flavor as of now, and some more info on the build number of this update appears to have emerged online.

The WPBench website has revealed that build numbers such as 8.10.14082.0, 8.10.14116.0, and 8.10.14130.0 are already being tested on devices, which suggests that this is indeed the next flavor of the OS, and that it is coming soon.

At the moment, the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system is available for download as a Developer Preview flavor, and those who download and install it see it on their phones as build version 8.10.123 97.0.

As WMPoweruser notes, the aforementioned Windows Phone 8.1 update is expected to arrive on devices with new features that include double height live tiles, similar to what Windows 8.1 users can enjoy today.

Moreover, the software update might also bring along native folders to all Windows Phone 8.1 devices out there. No official confirmation on this OS update has been provided as of now, but rumor has it that it might arrive sometime in August, so stay tuned for more on this.
