With the first Windows Phone 7 devices already official and en route to the market, we can now take a look at the marketing campaign the Redmond-based software giant Microsoft has prepared for the platform, as well as at the ways in which the company plans on improving the experience users get from the OS.

We already had the chance to take a look at video ads with the Windows Phone 7 operating system, and some new promo videos have been made available for your viewing pleasure.

Two videos can be seen embedded at the bottom of this article, both aimed at delivering the same message to users: Windows Phone 7 should prove to be “a phone to save us from our phones.”

According to Microsoft, the new Windows Phone 7 OS should prove a great option for all those interested in staying connected at all times, who are also looking to enjoy their lives to the full.

The new mobile platform comes with live tiles on the phone’s Start screen, so that users get real-time content with no effort, including social media updates and contacts.

“When you first get the phone, the stuff that’s more obvious makes you smile,” says Andy Lees, Microsoft’s Mobile Communications Business president.

“The features sort of scream out at you. But the other thing that is even deeper for me is the elegance of the experience, which you only appreciate if you’ve used the phone for some time,” Lees continued.

Starting with October 21st, users in Europe, Asia and Australia would have the possibility to try out the new Windows Phone 7 devices, while customers in the United States would get their first such devices starting with November 8th.

The platform was organized in Hubs, so that users can enjoy simpler access to various features of the operating system, with six hubs built on specific themes, including People, Pictures, Games, Music + Video, Marketplace and Office.

At the same time, the new handsets benefit from integration with various Microsoft services, including Xbox LIVE, Zune, Microsoft Office, or Bing.

Not to mention that the new Marketplace offers access to a number of 2,000 mobile applications at launch, a number that should increase as new software solutions are built and submitted for distribution.

However, not all things are as good as one might want them to be. Windows Phone 7 comes with certain limitations too, and many users might see them as deal breakers, that's for sure.

Although all mobile phones powered by Windows Phone 7 were announced as packing cameras with HD video recording capabilities, the only kind of memory users can benefit from is internal.

Handsets come with microSD card slots, but the OS sees this storage as internal, and treats it this way and, if one decides to replace the microSD, all data is erased.

At the same time, we should note that only GSM users can enjoy Windows Phone 7 devices at the moment, and that CDMA carriers would launch such handsets only next year.

Not to mention that there are some limitations the new mobile platform comes with when multitasking is involved, and that no copy/paste capabilities are present with the OS at the moment (a future update was announced as set to bring the feature into the mix).

However, the new Windows Phone 7 comes with a great deal of appealing features, with enhanced ease of use, and with an innovative interface, which should prove that Microsoft can still deliver competitive products on the market.
