Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 Series was officially unveiled a little more than a month ago during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, yet the exact details on the capabilities of the new operating system, as well as on some of the features of the handsets powered by it emerged only now, during the MIX10 conference. Among these pieces of info, we have a new video ad, which shows how the Windows Phone 7 can fit into user's lives. At the same time, some more details on the Copy-Paste features of the OS emerged, as well as a possible leak of a new LG handset to run under the platform.

The Windows Phone 7 ad in question shows that a handset based on the platform can fit nicely within the daily lives of its users. According to WMPoweruser, “Windows Phone 7 was designed to serve the needs of two prototypical users, Miles and Anna, so-called life maximisers that want to use their phone to work and play, and enhance their family life,” and the new ad is focused mainly on these aspects. You'll find the video embedded at the bottom of this article, so take a look at it to see what it is all about.

The South Korean mobile-phone maker LG is already known to plan the launch of a a Windows Phone 7 Series device, which was spotted previously into the wild, and that also made an appearance during MIX10, yet it seems that a new handset has now emerged in the wild, though details on it lack completely. According to some, this would actually be the same phone previously showcased, only that it has been photoshopped, based on the fact that the photo with this handset has been pulled off the original source (neowin), slashphone says that it should be another real device.

Finally, we learned a few more details on the lack of Copy&Paste functionality in Windows Phone 7 Series devices. It seems that Microsoft does not see this as a feature that users would want specifically to be included in their handsets, but that it will become available for them after launch. Those who already tried out the emulator released a few days ago might have noticed that the feature was present there, even if Windows Phone 7 devices won't have it at launch. It seems that Microsoft needs a little more time to include the functionality into the codebase, and that the feature will arrive on handsets in the end.
