Microsoft is making it easy for developers to access the necessary code samples they can leverage in their Windows Azure projects. Devs building Cloud applications or services can head over to the Windows Azure Code Samples Gallery and take advantage of the resources shared on the online hub.

When I made my way to the site earlier today, the first resource that I came across was the Windows Azure HelloWorld Sample. Written in C# this particular sample will enable devs to say ‘Hello World’ on Microsoft’s Cloud platform.

According to a member of the Windows Azure team, the code samples site has suffered a revamping recently.

“We're very happy to announce the new Windows Azure Code Samples Gallery that makes it easier for you to find the code samples that you need and provides the ability to add and maintain code samples in our growing catalog,” the Windows Azure team representative said.

“This page is built on Microsoft's Code Gallery site, and has been customized to allow you to browse code samples within the familiar context on the Windows Azure website.”

The overhaul process of the Windows Azure Code Samples Gallery is not yet complete, so those developers familiar with the old site might still come across some glitches, including missing content.

However, Microsoft stressed that it’s hard at work making sure that all the dev resources from the old website will be live on the new Windows Azure Code Samples Gallery.

“One of the nice features of the gallery is that you can filter the samples based on programming language, affiliation, technology, and other keyword data,” the Windows Azure team member added.

“To help you further zoom in on the right sample, each sample has a user rating, the number of times the sample has been downloaded, and the last date the sample was modified. Once you've found the sample, you can browse the code before downloading it and even ask the sample author questions through the Q and A feature.”
