The second title in Midway's AAA E3 lineup is Wheelman, the promising racing game featuring Hollywood star Vin Diesel. As it was expected, the publishers did not waste any time in updating all the
features of the release and showing us brand new eye-candy screens. We're really thrilled, we must admit, and we hope that the game will be at least as good as it looks. And it does have potential, as you will find out by reading the features below.

First of all, we won't spend too much time presenting the story of Wheelman, since you probably know it: you are Vin Diesel, who is an undercover agent who is... anyway, you get the idea - it's not very important who you are, but what you have to do: get into the Spanish underworld and gather intelligence surrounding a heist.

Along the way, you'll experience a true cinematic thrill ride through the streets of Barcelona, featuring car chases as you've only seen in movies until now. Everything will seem very real since not only Vin Diesel worked directly with Midway for the game, but his studio, Tigon, also helped the development team. And, as you can see in the screenshots below, you'll reach a point when you start wondering if you're looking at a movie or a game.

This means that you'll receive everything you have ever wished for from such a game: super move stunts (such as a Cyclone that spins the vehicle 360 degrees while you're shooting at your enemies or the Air Jack which allows you to jump from a moving car to another in order to take control of it), maximum mobility (from trucks to motorcycles and bikes, you'll get the chance to drive any vehicle which suits the situation best - and if you have to, you'll also be able to get out of your vehicle and explore Barcelona on foot).

The game, just like the recently presented This Is Vegas, promises a lot of great things and we truly hope they'll become reality. Could 2008 be Midway's year? We don't know, but one thing we're sure of: these Wheelman screenshots below, coming straight from E3, are great:
