“He's just a sweet little boy,” we repeatedly hear in voiceover about Kevin, in the latest trailer for “We Need to Talk About Kevin.” Clearly, nothing could be farther from the truth, as the latest release confirms beyond doubt.

Starring the always impressive Tilda Swinton, Ezra Miller as Kevin, and John C. Reilly as the father, the film has already won the confidence vote from the critics community, after making the festival round.

It will be out nationwide in US theaters in February 2012, but in limited release just in time for Oscar season.

Judging by the latest trailer released, it's no wonder why the film is getting so much Oscar buzz already: it's creepy and frightening without being a scary movie. It just peers deep into the human mind and shows what it's capable of.

Because few words could actually describe the sense of dread experiences when seeing footage from “We Need to Talk About Kevin,” it's best to just see the new trailer.
