Sony Online Entertainment has announced four new actors that will be lending their voices to superhero characters that will appear in the upcoming DC Universe Online, the MMO which is now scheduled to be launched on the PlayStation 3 and the PC in the early part of 2011.

Arleen Sorkin is set to again become Harley Quinn, the unhinged henchman of The Joker, known as one of the most popular villains of Batman: The Animated Series.

Will Wheaton, who is best known for the work he has done in Star Trek and for his promotion of geek culture, will be jumping into the role of Robin, Boy Wonder and the partner of master detective Batman.

Corey Burton is again taking on the role of the villain Brainiac for the DC Universe, adding the same menacing tone that fans could listen to in the DC animated features showing the character.

Dwight Schultz will be the voice of The Flash in DC Universe Online, after portraying character like Mad Murdock’ from The A-Team and Reg Barclay from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

John Blakely, who is an executive producer at Sony Online Entertainment, stated, “The addition of these actors to our existing cast reaffirms our commitment to gamers to deliver the most fun and authentic DC Universe experience possible. They’re all experienced and talented performers and we’re excited for players to hear their work when they encounter them in the game.”

DC Universe Online will allow players to create their own superpowered character and then step out into a game packed with well known heroes and villains taken from comic books, choosing between saving or dominating the game world.

The game was initially set to be released during the fall of this year but SOE has announced that both the PC and the PlayStation 3 will be getting it early next year.
