Sony has deployed a fresh video with Mortal Kombat on the PlayStation Vita console, showing off not just actual gameplay, but also how the title feels on the Vita, as well as quite a few interesting features, like using the touchscreen to wipe your character’s blood.

Mortal Kombat amazed plenty of fighting game fans last year, when it delivered a thoroughly violent experience onto platforms like the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

The PlayStation Vita is set to receive it next, as NetherRealm is currently working on the fighting game for the handheld system. We’ve already heard quite a few details about the title, as well as its features, but now Sony has presented the first hands-on video with Mortal Kombat on the Vita.

In the footage above, you can check out regular fights, as well as local multiplayer ones, and even some of the special features of the game, like when it’s forcing the players to wipe the blood off by using the touchscreen.

Check out Mortal Kombat on the Vita above and get ready for its official release in spring.
