Cortana, the digital personal assistant included in Windows Phone 8.1, is capable of proving a more than useful feature on many occasions, courtesy of a series of key capabilities, including the possibility of learning various things about users.

In fact, Cortana’s ability to learn what users are most interested in is what makes it a personal assistant, and a new video coming from Microsoft in an attempt to shed some more light on the matter is now available for your viewing pleasure.

The personal assistant is capable of notifying users on various events that are in line with their interests, while also allowing them to add or remove interests, or turn notifications on them on or off, all via Cortana’s Notebook.

According to Microsoft, Cortana will become even more personal as users add more interests. In fact, she can actually suggest interests when noticing something that you might want to keep an eye on.

The aforementioned video, which can be seen embedded below, will also show you how you can add new interests, edit them, or pin them to start, for fast access.

Those of you who already have Windows Phone 8.1 and Cortana on your devices might already be aware of these features, but those who are new to the OS or are now considering making the switch will certainly be happy to learn more on the matter.
