A new version of the Opera web browser for mobiles is available from Opera Software.

The Opera Mini 2.0 is built upon its predecessor and comes in the form of a downloadable Java application. The browser is specially designed for cellphones (not including smartphones) and enhances
the web surfing experience by adjusting the size of webpages to fit on the smaller screens of mobiles.

Opera Mini 2.0 includes extra features, among them being the possibility to download content directly to the handset, changeable skins, multisearch which allows users to select from more search engines, speed dial for bookmarks which acts in a similar way to the phone's speed dial and quick horizontal and vertical panning.

The browser is available for Java enabled phones as a direct download from http://mini.opera.com or users can have the browser sent to their mobiles via a request by SMS for a small fee.
