New versions of the Everest PC diagnostic and benchmarking and IT asset management solutions will drop in a few days, and you will be able to download them exclusively right here on Softpedia. Lavalys is currently in the final stages of cooking version 4.2 of the Everest Ultimate Edition and Everest Corporate Edition. The new releases come a little over half a year, since Lavalys delivered version 4.0 of its Everest family of products. According to the company, Everest 4.2 brings to the table an array of new features. Lavalys has in fact focused on the implementation of a new benchmarking method, as well as the overhauling of the modules associated with the system stability test and hardware monitoring processes.

"Everest Corporate Edition is a multi-functional toolset for IT Management and Security. A product designed to equip IT departments with a single tool for enhancing IT security through instantaneous network audits, network management reports, network security alerts, and risk mitigation initiatives. Everest Ultimate Edition is the cutting-edge benchmarking and diagnostics tool to maximize security, performance, and trouble-shooting capabilities for home and home office PC environments, PC Professionals and consulting firms as well as OEM partners and Configuration Centers worldwide," Lavalys stated.

The backbone of the Everest family of products is of course the extensive support that the two solutions benefit from. Version 4.2 supports a wide range of new products from the latest motherboards, processors, chipsets and graphics cards to technologies yet to hit the market such as PCI Express 2.0, K10 "Barcelona", AMD Phenom and the line of 45nm Intel CPUs.

"This release improves upon Everest's already impressive set of tools with some brand new features and a long list of enhancements in direct response to customer feedback. Under the hood, version 4.2 redefines once again the meaning of comprehensive by adding support for all the latest hardware technology (more than 8,950 since version 4.0) bringing the total number of supported devices over 61,000," Lavalys added.

As I have said in the introduction of this article, Softpedia will be the exclusive distributor of both the Everest Corporate Edition and the Everest Ultimate Edition. Both solutions are currently scheduled for availability by the end of this week, and of course that I will keep you up to date.
