We’ve covered Apple’s entire range of software updates ever since the release of the third-generation iPad. All but the new iTunes U version 1.1 which, somehow, slipped unnoticed by pretty much every media outlet.

Apple’s entire range of first-party applications received updates on the day the company unveiled the new iPad with Retina display. That included the relatively new iTunes U application, which Tim Cook & Co. proudly introduced at the company’s education-centric event in New York City last month.

iTunes U offers easy access to complete courses from schools and universities, as well as the world’s largest digital catalog of free education content, right on your iDevice.

The new iTunes U 1.1 is now “designed for the spectacular Retina display on the all new iPad,” says Apple. The company adds that “this version also includes a number of performance improvements.”
