Sony has deployed a brand new video for its Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception game, which highlights just what it borrowed from real life history and what it made up to actually allow its protagonist, Nathan Drake, to find the fabled Atlantis of the Sands.

Uncharted 3 delivers some of the most impressive adventures for Drake and his companions in the series, but it's also based on some real life history, with the game explaining that Sir Francis Drake wanted to find the ancient city of Ubar, quest that was continued by T.E. Lawrence, who became famous as Lawrence of Arabia.

Drake follows the evidence left behind the two great adventurers and his quest takes him through all sorts of environments, from castles in France to deserts from Arabia and more.

Check out the video above to see Nolan North, the voice actor for Drake, as well as Taylor Kurosaki, the cinematic production head for the game, talk about the adventures that are portrayed in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
