A bizarre travel accessory that could make you the coolest passenger or the most unstylish one on the plane has been recently presented by designers Idan Noyberg and Gal Bulka. The new product is a giant circular band made of elastic fabric and designed to be stretched in multiple ways, depending on its purpose.

The two graduates of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Israel say that their contraption, called B-Tourist, gives passengers privacy during flights, but can also be used as a storage unit, curtain, or cushion.

The Trend Hunter explains that the elastic strip can be stretched between two seats on an airplane to separate the passenger from the surroundings and create a space of privacy, or fastened together to make a comfortable “pillow” to lay your head.

Moreover, the side of the band has a pocket inserted into it, where clients can place small objects they want to keep at their fingertips during flight.

Well, B-Tourist is certainly a novel idea, but it could get quite annoying constantly having to take it off so that other passengers can get out of their seats. Another problem is that it could block the back-of-the-seat TV screens, so other fellow passengers may not be so excited about it.
