Possible new Oscar contender has just made itself known

Roman Polanski’s private life may have blacklisted him with many celebrities, but, luckily, good actors are still willing to work with him. A brand new trailer for his latest film, “Carnage,” has just been released.

With a cast that, by itself alone, should command any respectable moviegoer’s attention, “Carnage” is Polanski’s take on Yasmina Reza’s play by the same name.

It stars Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster, Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly as two couples who meet to talk about their problem children who have just gotten in a fight – and then all madness ensues.

However, before that happens, all sorts of awkwardness and weirdness takes place, as the trailer shows.

Since “Carnage” opened this year’s New York Film Festival, critics have already had the chance to review it: and they promise it’s a sure Oscar contender, in the race that will take place next year.

“Carnage” premieres on December 16.
