At this point, Tom Cruise is the only selling point of this film

When the first trailer for “Rock of Ages” dropped, there was much talk about how it revealed that Hollywood had attempted to Disneyfy the '80s. That impression stays with you throughout the second trailer as well.

You can see it in full above.

Directed by Adam Shankman, the film boasts a stellar cast and an impressive score. It's campy and loud and seems exaggerated even when compared to how things really stood in the '80s.

This time, that's not a good thing.

At this point, many voices say online on dedicated forums, that the only thing “Rock of Ages” still has going on for it is Tom Cruise's take on the eccentric rock god Stacee Jaxx, but even this performance seems to be drowned out in the general noise and campiness.

Check out the trailer and let us know if you feel the same. The film opens on June 1, 2012.
