Deus Ex: Human Revolution will get a new trailer this week in preparation for E3, as screenshots from the trailer have appeared on the Internet. One of them is a futuristic urban landscape with skyscrapers connected to each other by various platforms, showcasing the cyberpunk setting of the game. A helicopter exploding in the same cityscape background is in another screenshot.

The last one shows the main character of the game engaged in a melee fight with two people in hi-tech suits. These are said to be part of a new trailer that will be apparently launched this Friday, according to Eidos Montreal's Twitter account. The two most recent posts indicate that this is not just a rumor, but a fact, as they state that a hard drive with 265 GB of CGI has arrived form Goldtooth Creative, a company that specializes in promoting games through various means like making 3D animations.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a hybrid between a role-playing game and a first-person shooter. As opposed to the first two titles in the series, the player’s character will not have his body augmented to use superhuman abilities through nano-technology, but through mechanical modifications, like robot arms, micro-chips and other such techniques. Also, unlike the previous installments, a regenerating health model will be used, so that the flow of the action is not interrupted by scouring a level for resources like health kits.

Human Revolution is a prequel to the venerable Deus Ex. The main character is called Adam Jensen and he is an officer in the private security force. The story will take Jensen through five sprawling cities, like the one in the screenshot shown above. Future versions of Detroit, Shanghai and Montreal have been announced by the developers as being designed for the game. The protagonist's apartment will be used as some kind of a mission hub, where the player can store various items and pieces of information.
