Signal Studios is working on a new title in the Toy Soldiers franchise, a strategy action game that has miniature toy soldiers engage in battle against each other.

The new iteration in the Toy Soldiers series is currently being developed for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms, and the announcement came just two weeks after the studio reacquired the rights to the Toy Soldiers property from Microsoft, the previous rights holder.

Signal Studios got the license at the end of last month, and then announced that Toy Soldiers Complete will be launched for PC on Steam, a pack that includes the company's two previous games as well as four pieces of DLC.

The first Toy Solders was released on the Xbox Live Arcade in 2010, for the Xbox 360 home entertainment system, and the studio released a sequel in 2011, titled Toy Soldiers: Cold War. The game had players control armies of World War I toy soldiers fighting inside a diorama set up in a child's bedroom.

The studio expects to announce more details regarding the new game they are working on sometime later this year, and while they refrained from offering more information, they mentioned that they are partnering with a large publisher, in hopes of expanding the game's content.
