New Tough Notebook from Dell

Dell adopts the semi-rugged standards

Dell has launched its first semi-rugged notebook with the Latitude ATG D620 model. This notebook is intended for users who work in places that may affect the integrity of electronic components.

The Latitude ATG (All-Terrain Grade) series offers improved durability and is designed to be mechanical shock-proof, vibrations-proof and humidity-proof. The included HDD is shock-proof, the keyboard is liquid-proof, and the notebook's enclosure features protective caps for the connectivity ports, as well as a layer of durable dye. This model was specifically designed for harsh situations consistent with military media and emergency services.

The new Latitude ATG comes equipped with an advanced 14.1" LCD display which incorporates an ambient light sensor, a protective glass layer and an anti-reflex layer. The new semi-rugged model also features a HDD image compatible with the one found in Latitude D620, and can be connected to wireless/security devices, docking stations, port replicators and source adapters specific to Dell's D
line-up.

- HyperConnectTM options - extended wireless connectivity - you can remain productive in taxis, in parks, on jobsites or wherever you find yourself working.
- Mobile Broadband technology
- Bluetooth - wireless transfers between notebooks and cell-phones - this gives you the ultimatetechnology in flexibility, allowing you to use wireless mice, keyboards, PDAs and other mobile devices that increase your productivity.
- Dual-band Wi-Fi - enables a 24h connection to public hotspots
- CompleteCare Accidental Damage Service support package (optional)

This model is now available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with prices starting from 1,387 €.
