Video game developer Crystal Dynamics and hardware developer AMD have launched a new video for the new Tomb Raider which is specifically designed to show off the TressFX technology, and the way it affects the hair of main character, Lara Croft.

The sequence is based around the start of the game and shows Lara exploring the environment while her hair swings wildly around her head.

TressFX is a AMD technology that’s implemented in the new Tomb Raider for the first time and might appear in more PC-based titles during 2013.

The new Tomb Raider is a full series reboot that takes a young Lara Croft to a mysterious island, searching for companions after a shipwreck.

The character will get her first kill and evolve towards the fearless adventurer that players already know and love.
