The Tomb Raider franchise is perhaps one of the most long-lasting series of action adventure games out there. Its main character, the lovely Lara Croft, has made gamers across the world eager to see where her relic-finding adventures take her throughout every title. The series has been a very successful one for Eidos, the company behind it, as it has guaranteed sales on each iteration.

Now, with Tomb Raider Underworld, the newest titles in the franchise, it seems that despite positive reviews from industry critics and analysts, people haven't really been very attracted by it. This has been reflected in sales that didn't match the high expectations the struggling Eidos has hoped for. These moderate gross revenues have prompted quite a lot of other gaming companies to make official or unofficial offers to the European publisher, hoping that the IPs (Intellectual Properties) held by it, such as Hitman, would generate future profit.

However, Eidos hasn't lost hope in Tomb Raider Underworld, as it has announced that two new costumes will be available for the Xbox 360 version of this game. The new DLC (Downloadable Content) pack will consists of two wetsuits, one blue and one red, which will be at hand for Lara to wear during the Treasure Hunt mode of the game, and, as a treat for all the people who bought this game for the Xbox 360, it is available for free on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Additionally, as a gift for all of the PC users who want to gain the full Tomb Raider Underworld experience, it seems that the site Tomb Raider Chronicles offers the complete soundtrack to this recently-launched game. The hefty download, weighing in at 198MB, provides all the 71 tracks that appear on Tomb Raider Undeworld. Although some people might be interested only in the few main songs of the game, like Troels Brun Folmann's main theme, a lot of ambient music created by Colin O'Malley might also attract other users.

It definitely seems that Eidos is still backing up Tomb Raider Underworld, in hope that it will gain more momentum in sales after the holiday season. Let's just hope that additional content will be delivered as time goes by.

The main reason that Tomb Raider Underworld hasnt sold as many units as expected is because the majority of fans have the been loyal to the Playstation consoles and therefore have the PS3 as opposed to the XBOX 360, However Eidos has decided to give the downloadable content exlusively to the Xbox, including the extra levels!

Loyal Tomb Raider fans are not happy! (thats where the lost sales are)
