The upcoming reboot of the Tomb Raider series won't receive a demo, as developer Crystal Dynamics doesn't want to spoil anything about the story by presenting a tiny fragment of it ahead of the game's launch.

The Tomb Raider franchise will start anew with the upcoming Tomb Raider title, as Crystal Dynamics has not only overhauled the heroine, Lara Croft, but also the gameplay and the story of the series.

While we did get to admire quite a lot of footage from the game thanks to several videos and plenty of screenshots, the developer has now revealed that those interested in the game won't be able to try out ahead of its release.

According to the Twitter account of the studio's General Manager, Karl Stewart, "there are no plans to release a demo of the game pre-launch. We don't want to spoil the story."

As such, those interested in the game will have to buy it once it appears on March 5 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms.
